System Profile
The Berrien County system was started in 1983 and is operated by a private transit provider under the trade name of Berrien Bus.   The service consists of both semi-fixed route service and demand-response service within the Berrien County proper.   Service is housed in a facility located in Berrien Springs.   The facility provides storage, maintenance, and administration for the system.  Additionally, the Buchanan Dial-A-Ride system is operated out of this facility.  The service provider operates under a contract with the county government and is monitored by the county transportation coordinator.  The system provides tripper service between Niles and Benton Harbor four times each day.
