Credit Card or EFT payments

Permit Fees:

For your convenience and to improve the efficiency and security of fees paid for oil and gas or mineral well permit applications, the Geological Survey is now accepting credit card payments and electronic fund transfers for all permit fees.
The downloads include versions in both doc and pdf format.

There are two new forms:

1. Credit Card Transaction Authorization
2. Electronic Fund Transfer Debit Authorization

With each payment of permit fees, an applicant may submit either form in lieu of a check.

Oil and Gas Wells:
Permit fee is $300 for all Part 615 wells.

Mineral Wells:
Permit fee varies according to well type.
Waste Disposal Wells = $2,500
Brine Production, Disposal, or Storage wells = $500
Test wells > 250' deep = $500
Blanket test wells between 50' and 250'
     1-24 wells =   $75
   24-49 wells =  $150
   50-74 wells =  $300
 75-200 wells =  $600

If you have any questions regarding the change, please contact Kim Wood at 517-241-1528.
